Locations
Gateshead, a colourful community that has its own borough, but is still just a stone’s throw away from Newcastle City Centre. As providers of flexible serviced offices in gateshead, we wanted to share why we picked this area for our newly refurbished office location, and explain why Gateshead really is a thriving hub for business!
Top-class spaces
Gateshead is home to a large quantity of modern, flexible and affordable business and industrial spaces that you’ll find. Spaces like Team Valley and Baltic Quarter, which offers preferable location packages are now home to hundreds of businesses and thousands of employees.
Cost-effective
Looking to save money? Gateshead is the place to be. Reported on to be one of the ‘most cost-effective regions in the UK’, the town offers competitive wages and lower-than-average operational costs. Value for money and a higher return on investment in an instant.
Well-connected
Everything you need is on the doorstep! Just a 10-minute metro from the great city of Newcastle, near to an international airport and a mere walk away from Port of Tyne, where you can sail away from local ferry and cruise terminals. The road links are also favourable, throughout the town, into the city and beyond.
Houses an Enterprise Zone
The increased investment into local Enterprise Zones has supported Gateshead’s impressive economy, in excess of £14.8 billion (GVA). Furthermore, it’s population of 200,000 and a regional workforce of 1.5 million, this area is not one to shrug at. These areas also benefit from incentive packages to grow investment and create new jobs, including reduced business rates for businesses located on-site.
Local training and talent pool provision
It’s certainly an advantage to be on the doorstep of four local universities; Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Durham, who provide world-class graduates, with some of them sticking around in the area after graduating.
Top 50 best areas to do business in the UK
Neighbour city Newcastle was reported as the eighth best area in the country to do business, which was only one area of four to make it into the top 10 outside of London, which is great for Gateshead as a local and commutable business space. Gateshead is also in the top 50, which is a great result.
So there you go, Gateshead truly is a thriving business hub, with space, investment and facilities all in one pot, to make for an entrepreneur’s dream.
